Warranty Information
 
We advise you to read our 'Warranty Terms & Conditions', 'Do I have a claim' and 'Free Service' section carefully so you understand how our warranty works. You will also find the necessary paper work required to support any claims or services attached as easily printed PDF's.
 
If your claim is successful, Spot-on guarantees all 'Warranty' repairs are done with new parts and all 'Warranty' replacements are new units.
 
While all repairs are covered by the warranty, calibrations are not covered by warranty beyond the premises of Spot-on due
to the handling by third parties including couriers.

Do I have claim?
What is or is not a permissible warranty claim?

Spot-On (?Seller?) warrants to the original purchaser only, that all our products will be free from defects in material and manufacture for the period of the extented warranty indicated on either packaging or shown in the manual from the date of purchase if warranty registration is complied with (Warranty reverts to 1 year if not registered in the first 14 days). All other products have a standard 1 year manufacturers warranty which doesn't require registration.
 
Lasertec and General products have no extended warranty and do not require registration simply retain proof of purchase which needs to be supplied with any warranty claim.

THE SELLER'S SOLE OBLIGATION AND YOUR EXCLUSIVE REMEDY under this Limited Warranty and, to the extent permitted by law, any warranty or condition implied by law, shall be the repair or replacement of parts, without charge, which are:

1. Defective in material
and/or
2. Defective in manufacture

and which have not been:

1. Misused
2. Carelessly handled
3. Incorrectly stored
and/or
4. Tampered with or misrepaired by persons other than Spot-on recognised service providers.

Spot-on reserves the right to provide such remedy as described under the ?seller's sole obligation and your exclusive remedy? based on sighting the power tool in question and ascertaining the legitimacy of the each and every claim.

Definitions:

1. Misused
The tool has been used for purposes other than those it was designed for.

2. Carelessly handled
The tool has been subjected to treatment beyond normal handling specification including and not restricted to unnecessary impact, moisture damage, electric surge.

3. Incorrectly stored
Including and not restricted to, transportation of the tool to and from the worksite and when not in use both short term and long term.

4. Tampered with or misrepaired
Including and not restricted to, servicing by a third party who is not trained or authorised or by the owner

How to get your product serviced

Within 30 days of purchasing your product and if part of your Warranty allows for a '30 Day Free Service' please follow this procedure:

1. Your nearest Spot-on Service Centre is 501 Bellarine Highway, Moolap, 3221 Victoria

2. Detail in writing the following information:

a. Your name and address
b. Your warranty registration number
c. A detail any apparent problems

3. Along with the completed information above ship your product to your nearest Spot-on Service
Centre. (FREIGHT COSTS ARE YOUR RESPONSIBILITY).

4. Your nearest Spot-on Service Centre will service your product.

5. The Spot-on Service Centre will return your product.
The customer WILL ATTARCT FREIGHT COSTS for return of product.

Terms & Conditions for Warranty Claims

How to make a claim

If, after reading the ?What is and is not a permissible claim' you believe you have a genuine warranty claim, please follow this procedure:

1. Your nearest Spot-on Service Centre is 501 Bellarine Highway, Moolap, 3221 Victoria

2. Detail in writing the following information:

a. Your name and address
b. Your warranty registration number
c. A detail description of defect
d. A copy of proof of purchase
3. Along with the completed information above ship your power tool to your nearest Spot-on Service Centre.
(FREIGHT COSTS ARE YOUR RESPONSIBILITY).

4. Your nearest Spot-on Service Centre will access your claim and report
back to you on the progress of your claim.

5. If your claim is successful Spot-on will remedy the defect and return
your power tool at NO COST TO YOU.

6. If your claim is unsuccessful, Spot-on will advise you of the reasons why
and a written quote to repair the power tool will be issued.

7. Repairs will only be completed on confirmation of acceptance of
quote and must be payed for before power tool is returned.

8. Non-warranty repairs WILL ATTRACT FREIGHT COSTS for return
of tool.
